Season Flores, LCSW

CLINICAL MANAGER / THERAPIST

No matter who you are, life can get hard. We all have seasons where life seems to be a string of difficult circumstances after another. Sometimes we can work to change things and improve our situation. Sometimes we have to figure out the best way to survive the difficult circumstances. I have worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, changes at work, changes in life, women's health issues, and conflict in relationships.

No matter where you are, there is always a place of support here. I like to come alongside my clients and walk with them through whatever they are struggling with. Sometimes I provide support through advice or skills. Sometimes I just offer a listening ear. I have received intensive training in DBT as well as training in CBT. My goal is always to help clients see what is missing and help walk you towards a solution.

If you're wondering if therapy can help, please reach out to us. We can talk through whatever you might be struggling with and I can share some ways I think therapy might be beneficial.

Life can get difficult but you don't have to try to walk it alone.

Steven Cooper, LCSW

CLINICAL MANAGER / THERAPIST

Steven holds a BSW from Dalton State College and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Alabama.

In his words: “As a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), my ideal client is someone navigating life challenges, be it relationships, career shifts, or personal growth. They often feel overwhelmed, uncertain, and isolated, yearning for clarity, support, and tools to thrive. Their goal isn't just to "get by", but to genuinely flourish. They desire understanding, strategies to cope, and ultimately, a renewed sense of purpose.

With me, they'll find a compassionate ally in their journey, combining evidence-based techniques with genuine empathy to manifest resilience and transformation. Let's co-create a brighter tomorrow.

With warmth and a non-judgmental stance, I provide a safe place for clients to be truly understood and heard. We will collaborate to address challenges and amplify your strengths in a partnership that focuses on growth.

I genuinely understand the weight of what you may be feeling and the courage it takes to seek help. Remember, reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness. If you're seeking a space to be heard, valued, and empowered, I'm here to walk that path with you. Your experience matters, and I'm ready to listen.”

Nancy Avila de Welles, LMSW

BILINGUAL THERAPIST

English/Spanish

“Hi! My name is Nancy, and I would like to be part of your journey in the pursuit of your mental health stability. Not only am I bilingual, but I also understand the Hispanic/Latino culture.

I graduated with my master’s degree in social work. My goal is to serve any population, but my focus is on those who have limited access to mental health services in their own language and culture.

My experience is working with adults with symptoms of adjustment, depression, anxiety, the loss of a loved one, or other types of grieving. “

Stephanie Cervantes, LMSW

BILINGUAL THERAPIST

English/Spanish

Stephanie has a bachelor of social work degree from Dalton State College and a Master of Social Work from Southern Adventist University.

In her words, “I come from a Hispanic background and recognize the stigma that surrounds mental health in many cultures. I have a strong passion for providing individuals of all backgrounds with the mental health care they deserve while taking into account their unique experiences in life.

I believe it takes great strength to ask for help in any challenges. Change and growth can be uncomfortable. Having someone you can connect with whom you can share your vulnerabilities and trust is a step towards reaching your goals. I strive to provide a safe space where you can openly discuss your stressors. I believe it is important to have a nonjudgmental approach to allow you to gain the most out of therapy and accomplish what you seek out of it.”

Laura Garza, LMSW

BILINGUAL THERAPIST

English/Spanish

Laura received a Bachelor’s in Social Work at Augusta University and a Master’s in Social Work, with a clinical concentration, at The University of Texas at Austin. Before working in the mental health field, she gained experience working in healthcare and school settings identifying client needs and connecting them to the appropriate resources. These experiences contributed to her knowledge and insight on compassionate and ethical care across diverse populations.

“My passion is building healthy relationships with clients and assisting them with identifying personal strengths and skills that aid them in facing and overcoming life’s challenges. I have successfully worked with children, adolescents, and their families to foster healthy connections and improve family dynamics. While working with families, we have addressed issues including disruption in care, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, symptoms of adjustment, trauma, and behavioral issues.”

Within the last year, I have gained notable experience working with the adult population. Through our work, clients and I have fostered therapeutic alliances that have served in creating a safe space to transform generational patterns, manage interpersonal stress, develop a strong sense of self, and normalize emotional experiences.

In addition, I am of Mexican descent and bilingual in Spanish and English. My background allows me to connect with Spanish-speaking individuals and foster a personal connection. I am devoted to finding avenues that advance access to mental health care for Spanish-speaking communities. Therefore, I strive to meet the need of ethical and culturally sensitive care by providing services in Spanish and highlighting cultural aspects to create a safe and familiar environment.

Overall, I aim to create a safe and healthy environment that allows individuals to freely express themselves and feel supported as they work towards improving their overall well-being. I am eager to continue my work with children, adolescents, families, and adults.”

Cory Lowe, LCSW

THERAPIST

Cory holds a BSW from Dalton State College and a MSW from Campbellsville University.

In Cory’s words: “I aspire to use my skills and knowledge as a mental health therapist to help people overcome their challenges and live fulfilling lives. I will work with my clients to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where all ideas are valued and respected and where my clients can explore their thoughts and emotions while working to make positive changes and achieve goals.

There are many different treatment types available for mental health, and what works best for one person may not work for another. It's important to find a treatment that feels right for you.

I want to be a part of a world where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health. I will work to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental illness and will advocate for policies that support services and resources. Together, we can create a society where everyone has access to care and support they need to thrive.

It's important to take care of our mental health, especially during difficult times. We all face challenges in life, and it's okay to ask for help when we need it. Taking care of our mental health allows us to live happier, more fulfilling lives and be there for the people we love. Remember, it's okay not to be okay, and there's no shame in seeking support.”
